I'm Nick Taylor (@nickytonline) , a software engineer and developer advocate at the intersection of AI, security, and software, based in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. I've been building software for over twenty years, contributing to open source for about half that, and writing, streaming, and speaking about the things I'm learning along the way.

Developer advocacy is where those threads meet: I like taking a hard technical problem, making it understandable, and sharing what worked (and what didn't) so someone else can get further faster. Lately that has pulled me toward the security questions around AI agents, MCP, and the developer infrastructure they depend on.

I've worked at OpenSauced, dev.to, and Netlify, and I'm currently in developer relations at Pomerium, where the focus is Zero Trust security, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and agentic AI. I'm also a GitHub Star, AAIF Ambassador, AWS Community Builder, and Microsoft MVP.
